** Career Advancement Series**

The Career Advancement Series is focused on empowering members of the Wichita Asian Community by providing resources and tools to make contributions in the workforce. This series is not just about finding employment; it's about developing a career path for marginalized individuals in Wichita.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by those with limited resources, our program hopes to guide individuals toward fulfilling employment opportunities that ensure financial stability, personal growth, and long-term advancement.

Our series was inspired by the real-life experience of Winnia Sithideth, a member of NAAAP Wichita.  Growing up, Winnia faced significant hardships helping her parents find employment as 1st generation immigrants. At 13 years old, she taught them how to increase their chances of securing employment, such as how to write resumes, and dress for interviews. At the age of 15, she became the primary breadwinner for her family on top of being a full-time high school student. Her journey showcases the importance of this series in enabling marginalized individuals to secure employment and support their families.
